Description

  • Own named relationships with major consulting and brokerage houses at national and local levels.
  • Embed the Consultant Relations team in active deals alongside Sales and Solutions Consulting.
  • Develop consultant-focused content with Product Marketing and Sales Enablement.
  • Educate the marketplace on surgery centers of excellence, cancer support, and specialty-care solutions.
  • Improve win rates and opportunity quality across consulting and brokerage relationships.
  • Build coverage in underserved segments, including Texas, the Southeast, public sector, and labor.
  • Establish account plans, coverage models, metrics, processes, and team responsibilities.
  • Manage escalations with Sales and Client Success to preserve capacity for proactive relationship management.
  • Build cross-functional partnerships across Sales, Client Success, Analytics, Clinical, Marketing, Network, and Member Services.
  • Report relationship health, account coverage, deal outcomes, and business growth to Commercial Leadership.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in employer healthcare benefits, health and benefits consulting, or consultant-facing healthcare vendor roles.
  • Demonstrated experience building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Deep relationships and credibility with one or more major consulting or brokerage firms.
  • Experience in a consultant-facing or Consultant Relations role preferred over consulting-only experience.
  • Experience designing or operating named-account or portfolio-ownership models.
  • Experience in consultative sales or business development.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of self-funded medical plans and relationships among health plans, TPAs, providers, and plan sponsors.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-changing, high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; 5–10 years as a health and benefits consultant is preferred.
  • Preferred experience includes medical claims analysis, healthcare point solutions, outcome-based metrics, and early-stage businesses.

  • Base salary of $225,000–$275,000, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
  • Remote USA role with approximately 50% travel.
