Description

  • Own the revenue accounting month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue and unbilled revenue analysis, and fluctuation analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and apply GAAP accounting guidance to new products and services.
  • Review non-standard customer agreements with Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal to assess revenue recognition impacts and recommend solutions.
  • Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis on revenue forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Lead improvement initiatives focused on automation, operational efficiency, and scalable revenue processes.
  • Implement and document revenue recognition policies, processes, and controls.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing and revenue issues.
  • Prepare or review schedules, memoranda, and other materials for external auditors.
  • Support special projects such as software implementations, system integrations, and automation efforts.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor a high-performing revenue accounting team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and quote-to-cash processes.
  • Experience with SaaS and/or professional services revenue streams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functional areas and organizational levels.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage projects end-to-end.
  • Experience with NetSuite is required; Salesforce experience is a plus.
