Description

  • Serve as the primary HRBP for Klaviyo’s R&D organization, directly supporting VP-level leaders including the CPO, CTO, and CIO.
  • Advise senior leaders on team structure, talent risks, and whether business challenges are rooted in leadership or org design.
  • Partner with leaders to redesign roles, team structures, and capability-building as AI changes how work gets done.
  • Translate business priorities into people strategies across org design, succession planning, hiring strategy, and leadership development.
  • Use people analytics and data-signaling tools to identify trends, support decisions, and measure the impact of people initiatives.
  • Build, coach, and develop a team of HRBPs supporting R&D.
  • Shape how the broader HRBP function operates in partnership with the Head of HRBP and Talent Development.
  • Lead cross-functional people projects such as performance calibration, org design, and career architecture.
  • Build efficient and automated HRBP processes and maintain close partnerships with TA, People Ops, Total Rewards, and Employment Legal.

Requirements

  • 15-20+ years of HRBP or related HR experience, with meaningful experience supporting R&D, Engineering, or Product organizations in high-growth tech.
  • 5+ years leading and developing HR teams.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders, including the C-suite, on high-stakes decisions with broad impact.
  • Experience guiding organizations through structural and strategic transformation, not just process improvement.
  • Deep expertise in org design, performance management, and leadership development.
  • Strong data literacy and experience using people analytics to inform decisions.
  • The judgment to know when to push back and when to step aside.
  • Experience working through a major strategic pivot is a strong signal.
  • Experience in an environment where AI is changing the nature of the work itself is a strong signal.
  • Comfort operating with urgency and ambiguity, and creating clarity without pretending certainty.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $224,000 to $336,000 USD for US locations.
  • Eligibility for the company’s annual cash bonus plan.

  • Travel up to 10% may be required, with travel coordinated in advance.
