Description

  • Work with a team of five colleagues to deliver RCS and international SMS expansion goals.
  • Build brand-new services and understand how they fit into the broader platform architecture.
  • Plan and architect services so they can scale successfully for customer use.
  • Contribute to the development of mobile messaging capabilities across international markets.
  • Support performance optimization and continuous development of mobile platform services.
  • Collaborate across teams and disciplines to deliver company objectives.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a software engineering discipline.
  • Experience with full stack application development.
  • Experience working with both monolithic and microservices architectures.
  • Experience with database design that can withstand high query volumes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience debugging performance issues and improving application performance.
  • Interest and aptitude for collaboration across teams and disciplines.
  • Experience creating new services with scalability in mind, with exposure to large-scale system design (nice to have).
  • Experience with AWS or a similar cloud provider (nice to have).
  • Communication domain experience (nice to have).
  • Experience with Python, Django, Go, React, SQS, Celery, MySQL, DynamoDB, Elasticache, Redis, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Splunk, Buildkite, Grafana, or Chronosphere (technologies used).

Benefits

  • Base salary range of £68,000 to £102,000 GBP.
  • Participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan.
  • Equity may be included in the total compensation package.
  • Sign-on payments may be included in the total compensation package.
  • A comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
  • Up to 10% travel for onboarding, partner work, team meetings, and industry events, coordinated in advance.
