Description

  • Monitor anti-abuse signals, logs, and alerts to identify likely abuse and recommend mitigations within established guardrails.
  • Investigate compliance and deliverability-impacting abuse events and escalate issues for timely response and mitigation.
  • Perform customer-impacting incident triage, document timelines and key facts, and execute assigned follow-up tasks.
  • Generate, review, and interpret reporting on threat alerts, unwanted mail rate, time to detection, and response time.
  • Monitor assigned signal health, identify noise or failure modes, and raise issues when behavior deviates from expectations.
  • Partner with Engineering and Security to test and implement signal tuning and improve compliance policies and infrastructure.
  • Follow standard compliance workflows while identifying process gaps and opportunities for incremental improvement.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and represent the operational voice of compliance in incident response and program design.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to route work, document outcomes, and surface recurring patterns.
  • Write clear case notes, runbook steps, dashboard annotations, and training content to support knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical SaaS company, anti-abuse, trust & safety, or compliance operations role, preferably at an ESP or high-volume marketing communications provider.
  • Experience analyzing infrastructure-level and behavioral data, reviewing dashboards, spotting anomalies, and summarizing findings into recommendations.
  • SQL or equivalent query experience is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of how AI and automation are used in detection systems and operational workflows, with experience using approved AI tools in a human-in-the-loop process.
  • Proven experience with anti-abuse or fraud prevention tools such as Sift, Stripe Radar, eHawk, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of fraud and abuse landscapes, security protocols, and messaging compliance across email, SMS, privacy standards, and global regulations.
  • Familiarity with log analysis, signal monitoring, or SIEM-style tools such as Splunk or Datadog.
  • Familiarity with APIs, email and text message marketing platforms, and e-commerce ecosystems.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Zendesk or equivalent case management tools, Salesforce, and ticketing systems.
  • Bonus: participation in anti-abuse industry groups such as M3AAWG, experience with SMS/MMS, technical writing, training, or web development, Python, pandas, BI tools like Looker or Tableau, and workflow automation tools such as Zapier or internal scripting.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $96,000 to $144,000 USD for US locations.
  • Eligibility for the company’s annual cash bonus plan.
  • Equity and sign-on payments may be included in total compensation.
  • Comprehensive health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required for onboarding, partner work, team meetings, or industry events.
  • Flexible consideration of location-based compensation determined by skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
