Description

  • Identify high-impact AI opportunities with product, engineering, operations, and business teams.
  • Design, train, fine-tune, and evaluate machine learning and deep-learning models.
  • Develop datasets, features, training pipelines, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Run GPU-based experiments and optimize model quality, speed, and cost.
  • Build reusable modeling components, standards, and AI capabilities for multiple teams.
  • Partner with engineers on deployment, monitoring, reliability, and ongoing model improvement.
  • Translate ambiguous business needs into measurable machine learning objectives.
  • Communicate results, limitations, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Evaluate emerging machine learning techniques for practical business value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, machine learning, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing machine learning solutions beyond initial experimentation.
  • Strong Python programming and software-engineering skills.
  • Strong foundations in machine learning, statistics, algorithms, data structures, and experimental design.
  • Hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience training or fine-tuning transformer, vision, or multimodal models.
  • Experience with GPUs and practical model training and inference constraints.
  • Ability to work with large, complex, and imperfect datasets and own open-ended problems through measurement.
  • Experience generalizing successful solutions into reusable capabilities.
  • Preferred: distributed training, model optimization, quantization, parameter-efficient fine-tuning, production deployment, cloud infrastructure, or regulated AI systems.
  • Preferred: master’s degree or PhD, or contributions to applied research, open source, patents, or production AI products.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Benefits

  • Remote full-time role with an annual base salary range of $175,000–$225,000, depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
  • Bonus and benefits in addition to base salary.
