Description

  • Proactively communicate with borrowers about loan terms, servicing processes, and post-closing responsibilities.
  • Monitor project progress from the borrower’s perspective and provide support for delays, budget overruns, and other project challenges.
  • Investigate and resolve borrower inquiries and disputes related to servicing, payments, and loan modifications.
  • Advocate for borrower needs internally and escalate complex issues to management when needed.
  • Help borrowers understand statements, payment schedules, online portal access, interest accrual, principal reduction, and payoff statements.
  • Reach out to at-risk borrowers to help prevent loans from defaulting.
  • Collaborate with servicing, compliance, special servicing, payment operations, and construction teams to improve the borrower experience.
  • Provide clear updates on loan status, draw disbursements, and payment reminders, and create borrower education resources such as FAQs.
  • Accurately document all customer interactions in the system of record.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 1 year of mortgage-related collections, customer service, or sales experience.
  • Ability to clearly communicate the mortgage lifecycle from start to finish and understand the processing steps involved.
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand customer issues and own each issue through resolution.
  • Broad knowledge of real estate transaction methods.
  • Leadership or team-lead experience preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Experience with Excel or spreadsheet equivalent tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of tax, escrow analysis, mortgage insurance, and hazard insurance preferred.

  • Expected annualized base pay range of $45,000 to $68,000.
  • $6,000 variable bonus.

  • Flexible time off with no strict limits, subject to manager approval.
  • Paid leave of up to 8 weeks for medical or caregiver needs and 12 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave, plus short-term disability leave for birthing mothers.
  • 401(k) plan with 100% company match up to 3% of compensation or $8,000, whichever is less, with immediate vesting.
