Description

  • Lead the full operations function across warehousing, freight, inventory, and fulfillment.
  • Oversee a national network of 3PL and warehouse partners, including carrier selection and specialized freight handling.
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews, and clear operating accountability.
  • Assess the current team structure and place the right people in the right roles to support scale.
  • Build sales and business development infrastructure, including pipeline management, forecasting, CRM, deal desk, and pricing discipline.
  • Lead strategy and rollout of core operational systems, including WMS, TMS, CRM, and ERP, with leadership reporting.
  • Build a scalable compliance function covering DOT hazmat and oversized-load permitting and commercial contract review.
  • Coach operations leaders, manage offshore support partners, and serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board, and executive team.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or general management, including at least 8 years in a senior executive role.
  • Proven experience building operating systems from the ground up, including KPIs, cadence, planning, and process.
  • Direct logistics or distribution experience with heavy industrial or renewable energy products such as transformers, batteries, trackers, or modules.
  • Hands-on leadership of WMS, TMS, ERP, and CRM implementations through go-live.
  • Experience running a multi-site or contracted 3PL network at scale.
  • Ability to partner credibly with a CEO, Board, and president-level peers in a hands-on, builder-oriented leadership style.
  • Comfort scaling a founder-led or growth-stage business.
  • Nice to have: direct experience in solar, storage, or renewable energy distribution.
  • Nice to have: NetSuite experience, background in a PE-backed or founder-led company, and familiarity with EOS or Traction.
