Description

  • Own the architecture and technical direction for key product areas in a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
  • Build and maintain backend services and APIs using REST, GraphQL, or gRPC.
  • Deliver backend features end-to-end, including data schemas and business logic.
  • Translate business problems into simple, robust technical solutions with product, design, and data/ML teams.
  • Integrate data, ML, and AI capabilities into real customer workflows.
  • Design APIs, data contracts, and UX flows that make AI features reliable, understandable, and safe for customers.
  • Improve telemetry and feedback loops so teams can measure performance and iterate on models.
  • Champion operability through monitoring, alerting, logging, and runbooks for owned services.
  • Lead efforts to improve performance, scalability, and resilience of critical paths.
  • Mentor engineers, lead technical design reviews, and help define engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience shipping data/ML/AI-powered SaaS products.
  • Strong track record of owning and shipping complex, user-facing features end-to-end in collaboration with product management and UX.
  • Experience as a senior technical leader guiding teams and owning critical production systems.
  • Strong proficiency with at least one backend stack such as Node.js/TypeScript, Java, Go, or Rust.
  • Proficiency with Python and data analysis/modeling tools such as pandas and PyTorch.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and storage, including relational databases, caching, and basic data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with data/ML/AI concepts, including exposing ML models or LLMs as services, typical failure modes, latency/throughput tradeoffs, and guardrails.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus containers and infrastructure concerns like networking, scaling, and security.
  • Strong habits around testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and incremental delivery.
