Description

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and deliver solutions through the cross-platform SDK.
  • Reduce project scope where appropriate to enable faster customer feedback.
  • Navigate integration and UX tradeoffs across different product teams.
  • Design and improve abstractions and algorithms to optimize existing functionality.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
  • Build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that support Speechify’s product experience across platforms.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a senior software engineer or in a similar senior-level engineering role.
  • Strong systems thinking with an end-to-end approach to design and simplicity.
  • Ability to work quickly, evaluate options, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth remote startup environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, marketers, and product managers.
  • Preferred: experience with Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Preferred: Java experience is acceptable, but the role is primarily Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Preferred: prior experience with GCP.
