Description

  • Enable and improve day-to-day operational workflows for critical applications and services in a 24x7x365 environment.
  • Work with other engineers to support infrastructure and software development efforts across cloud and physical data centres.
  • Continuously improve application observability to strengthen uptime and reliability.
  • Build fault-tolerant, scalable, secure, high-performance services and pipelines using open source technologies.
  • Support automated build pipelines and continuous integration and delivery processes.
  • Collaborate effectively within a distributed team on large-scale, real-time applications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building scalable production environments.
  • Experience with source code control systems, versioning, branching and merging, configuration, build management, artefact repositories, automated build tools, automated testing frameworks, and automated deployment frameworks.
  • Extensive experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools and procedures such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • Strong scripting skills in BASH, PowerShell, Python, Go, Ruby, or similar languages.
  • Strong experience with Docker containers and container orchestration tools, preferably Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Terraform.
  • Experience with monitoring and metrics systems such as Prometheus, Logstash, or Grafana.
  • Programming skills in Java or .NET.
  • Ability to work as part of a distributed team.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as MSSQL or PostgreSQL (nice to have).
  • Hands-on experience with messaging technologies like RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka, including configuration and troubleshooting (nice to have).
