Description

  • Define and implement automation strategies and scalable testing frameworks for the Next Platform.
  • Develop deep expertise in the platform, its architecture, and the underlying tax domain to guide test strategy and prioritization.
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing for complex scenarios, new features, integrations, and critical end-to-end workflows.
  • Design, build, and maintain Playwright-based automation for E2E, API, and integration testing.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establish best practices, coding standards, and reusable test patterns.
  • Create comprehensive test plans for functional, regression, integration, API, and security testing.
  • Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts across QA practices and tooling.
  • Identify, document, track, and help resolve defects in Jira, including root cause analysis and severity assessment.
  • Mentor QA team members and share knowledge through documentation, training, and pair testing/programming.
  • Generate test reports, dashboards, and quality metrics to communicate risks, progress, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in QA or Quality Engineering roles.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Playwright for E2E, API, and integration test automation.
  • Strong programming skills in TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools for test generation and automation.
  • Strong manual testing skills, including exploratory testing and complex test case design.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Git, and GitHub, including branching and code review practices.
  • Experience with tax software, financial applications, PDF processing, document validation, or complex business domains is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, performance and security testing tools, Docker/Kubernetes, SQL, or test management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr is preferred.
