Description

  • Own the organization’s quality management system strategy and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure the QMS aligns with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and AS9100 frameworks.
  • Build, develop, and manage a team of quality systems engineers.
  • Provide coaching, technical guidance, and performance development for team members.
  • Own and oversee the document control system, including controlled documents, records, and change control.
  • Manage the internal and external audit program, including planning, leading, and reporting findings.
  • Lead configuration management processes with engineering and operations stakeholders.
  • Drive root cause investigations and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Ensure timely closure of quality issues and systemic improvement of the QMS.
  • Help establish processes, controls, and inspections that support scaled production without slowing progress.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in quality systems or quality engineering, preferably in aerospace or another highly regulated industry.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience leading technical teams.
  • Deep working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 requirements and principles.
  • Experience with document control systems, configuration management, and internal/external audit programs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience reporting quality metrics and program status to senior leadership.
  • Lead auditor certification is strongly preferred.
  • Certified QMS lead auditor (AS9100) is a nice to have.
  • Experience in a high-growth, vertically integrated manufacturing environment is a nice to have.
  • Familiarity with QMS digital platforms and continuous improvement methods such as Lean or Six Sigma is a nice to have.
