Description

  • Design, scope, build, and deploy new backend features quickly for users.
  • Work closely with product and client-facing teams to understand customer challenges and deliver solutions.
  • Integrate new data sources into the Digital Pathway Platform and manage complex clinical data flows.
  • Write updates back to third-party systems and maintain data consistency across platforms.
  • Own services in production, including monitoring, debugging, and improving reliability.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver user-focused solutions.
  • Support and improve cloud infrastructure.
  • Deliver high-quality, maintainable backend systems that scale with growing usage.
  • Support and mentor other engineers through collaboration and code review.
  • Drive technical excellence and continuous improvement in software development, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Professional experience as a Senior Developer.
  • Ideally 5+ years of experience as a developer.
  • Start-up experience is preferred.
  • Strong experience in GCP and backend design.
  • Deep understanding of best practices for building Node.js applications with TypeScript.
  • Experience integrating with APIs, including REST and SOAP.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with tools and services such as Datastore, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, IAM, and Docker.
  • Solid understanding of VPCs, subnets, and private VPNs.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD automation, such as GitHub Actions.
  • Proven experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest.
