Description

  • Build and ship full SEO and AEO features end-to-end with minimal oversight, including development, experimentation, and rollout.
  • Design and implement high-quality full-stack features that improve search engine visibility, AI answer engine performance, and organic traffic.
  • Write performant, observable, and cost-aware code that supports better search rankings, LLM visibility, and user experience.
  • Contribute to data pipelines for SEO and AEO data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
  • Apply simple, reusable abstractions to keep systems healthy as they scale.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and marketing partners to translate user needs into technical requirements and shared goals.
  • Surface trade-offs and contribute to technical decisions across the stack.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that support growth objectives.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with React, Ruby, Python, PostgreSQL, and SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and launch complete features end-to-end with minimal oversight.
  • Experience with distributed systems and data engineering, including pipeline design, schema optimization, and data quality.
  • Exposure to Airflow or DBT.
  • Ability to write performant code and improve system observability through logging and metrics.
  • Strong product mindset and ability to connect technical work to business metrics.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across marketing, product, and engineering.
  • Experience with SEO/AEO initiatives or knowledge of SEO best practices, answer engine optimization, structured data (Schema.org), crawling/indexing, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Preferred experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL databases, Snowflake, or Redshift.
  • Experience launching experiments and analyzing results, including A/B testing frameworks.
  • Previous experience partnering with marketing teams on growth initiatives in fast-paced startup environments.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $145,000–$153,000 CAD for Canadian candidates.
  • Remote role with Flex First work flexibility.
  • Eligibility for a new hire equity grant.
  • Eligibility for annual refresh equity grants.
  • Market-competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Hiring currently limited to Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
