Description

  • Design, build, and operate platforms and services for real-time shelf and product understanding.
  • Develop scalable data ingestion, processing, and serving systems combining partner data, inventory observations, and machine learning outputs.
  • Collaborate with machine learning, computer vision, product, and data science teams to bring models and pipelines into production.
  • Solve large-scale challenges across mapping, inventory, logistics, and computer vision while balancing delivery speed with architectural quality.
  • Promote ownership, reliability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, and operating large-scale production systems.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, Go, or another backend programming language, plus SQL experience.
  • Experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Track record of delivering reliable, tested, observable, and maintainable production software.
  • Experience with machine learning infrastructure, computer vision, image-based data pipelines, or annotation platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with real-time, streaming, or geospatial production systems is preferred.
  • Experience building data-intensive products in e-commerce, retail, logistics, or grocery is preferred.
  • Experience with edge devices, IoT, hardware-software integration, Spark, Kafka, or Airflow is preferred.

  • Market-competitive compensation based on work location.
  • US base salary range of $166,000–$210,000, depending on location.
  • Eligible for a new-hire equity grant and annual refresh grants.
