Description

  • Own sales, profitability, labor, COGS, operating income, EBITDA, guest experience, and operational results across 70+ bakeries.
  • Use P&Ls, performance data, guest insights, and field observations to identify opportunities, risks, and root causes of underperformance.
  • Set regional priorities and translate company goals into actionable plans for District Managers and their teams.
  • Improve sales, productivity, cost management, and profitability while protecting the guest experience.
  • Lead, coach, and develop District Managers and Area Managers to operate their businesses with accountability.
  • Build a leadership pipeline through training, feedback, talent development, succession planning, and partnership with the People team.
  • Maintain operational standards for product quality, food safety, cleanliness, speed of service, hospitality, and brand execution.
  • Conduct bakery and market visits to observe operations, coach leaders, engage guests and team members, and stabilize business issues when needed.
  • Turn company strategy, innovation, new products, technology, and bakery openings into consistent field execution through cross-functional partnership.
  • Represent field insights in company decisions and remove operational barriers for bakery leaders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive multi-unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading multi-unit field leaders, such as Regional Directors or District Managers.
  • Experience with restaurant/QSR or high-volume food service operations (strongly preferred).
  • Proven success leading a large, geographically dispersed business with full P&L accountability across multiple markets.
  • Experience overseeing 50+ locations (strongly preferred).
  • Strong financial and business acumen in sales, EBITDA, labor, COGS, budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders, build high-performing teams, develop high-potential talent, and strengthen succession pipelines.
  • Ability to use operational data and field observations to diagnose performance and translate insights into action.
  • Experience leading through rapid growth and change in a small to mid-sized, high-growth company.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant leadership experience considered.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50–70%, including regular overnight travel.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
