Description

  • Lead teams across security disciplines, including penetration testing, security operations, encryption, and identity and access management.
  • Resolve complex and highly exposed cyber security issues using broad technical experience.
  • Design and develop advanced security features for next-generation firewalls.
  • Work with product management to translate ideas into functional designs.
  • Use programming skills to build efficient, robust, and secure implementations.
  • Collaborate with support teams throughout the software development cycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external customers on information security matters.
  • Explain how customers are protected from adversary threats and how Inovalon modernizes its security efforts.
  • Adhere to confidentiality, HIPAA, regulatory, and company policy requirements.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical issues outside standard business hours and meet defined SLAs.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience with networking protocols and network security technologies.
  • Expertise in multi-core, multi-process, and multi-threaded programming.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP internals and common data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with large-scale and high-performance software design and development is preferred.
  • Strong coding skills in C/C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Ruby, Python, and other popular languages and platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux internals.
  • Familiarity with embedded development and protocols is a plus.
  • Programming experience in C/C++ is a plus.
  • Bachelor of Science in an engineering or technical discipline required.
  • Bachelor of Science in cybersecurity or a master’s in an engineering or technical discipline with cybersecurity coursework preferred.
  • CISSP or AWS Security certification preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship is available for this role (for US-based positions).

Benefits

  • This role includes participation in an on-call rotation with defined SLA expectations.
  • Travel is minimal, at less than 5% and typically local for training purposes.
