Description

  • Lead programming, analytics, and statistical work for health services research projects.
  • Execute research studies end to end, including protocol review, cohort building, analysis, and insight generation.
  • Use SQL for advanced data extraction, transformation, and data management.
  • Document and maintain source code and algorithms for future reuse.
  • Develop and test hypotheses to support research and product offerings.
  • Communicate findings clearly and actionably to clients and stakeholders.
  • Respond to complex operational data requests and create ad hoc queries for research projects.
  • Provide quality control, quality assurance, and review support on projects.
  • Partner with data management and integration teams to identify and resolve data issues.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and coordinate resolution.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries working with administrative claims data and big data.
  • Excellent SQL programming skills, including experience with Snowflake cloud data platform.
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis tools such as SAS, R, and/or MatLab.
  • Master’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, machine learning, econometrics, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience researching and resolving data issues in large, complex, incomplete data sources.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare, health policy, pharmaceutical, medical device, and related issues.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
  • Experience with data analytic vendor and tool evaluation (preferred).
  • Experience with business analytics, design, and architecture principles (preferred).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship is available for this role.
