Description

  • Collect, integrate, cleanse, and manage insurance-related data from multiple sources.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Develop analytical solutions and process efficiencies using statistical methods, databases, and programming tools.
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports for business stakeholders.
  • Prototype new ideas and support statistical research addressing business and data-quality challenges.
  • Collaborate with solution engineers and business stakeholders to bring analytics into production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an actuarial, data analyst, data science, or comparable analytical role within an insurance brokerage environment.
  • Required actuarial experience with commercial insurance Property & Casualty lines.
  • Proficiency with Python, SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or Databricks.
  • Experience with relational databases and core data-analysis techniques.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and analytical judgment skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a self-directed, cross-functional environment.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with hypothesis testing and statistical evaluation techniques.
  • Preferred: Intellectual curiosity, proactive problem-solving, and exceptional attention to detail.
