Description

  • Lead strategy-first req kickoffs and define the primary sourcing challenge before searches begin.
  • Develop recruiters’ critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills through coaching and mentorship.
  • Own quality and consistency across open reqs and maintain clear visibility into search status.
  • Set standards for strong candidate slates before submissions are sent to clients.
  • Serve as the go-to leader for recruiters working through difficult requisitions.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks and proactively develop solutions to keep searches moving.
  • Push back on unrealistic client briefs and bridge the gap between market availability and hiring expectations.
  • Build proactive pipelines, improve candidate database discipline, and find low-hanging fruit in sourcing.
  • Run team operating rhythms such as 1:1s, pipeline reviews, req kickoffs, and capacity check-ins.
  • Identify gaps in recruiting operations, create best practices, and roll up hands-on when needed with interviews, recordings, and assessments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience directly managing or mentoring recruiters, with results tied to hiring success.
  • Meaningful headhunting and evaluative recruiting experience across the full funnel.
  • Experience making hiring recommendations, not just sourcing or sending candidate lists.
  • Breadth of recruiting experience across multiple role types such as ops, admin, finance, marketing, customer support, tech support, and executive assistant roles.
  • Deep familiarity with international candidate markets, including talent pools, salary and rate benchmarks, and seniority expectations.
  • Experience recruiting for remote or distributed teams serving US-based clients.
  • Comfort working across a player-coach model that combines leadership and hands-on recruiting.
  • Ability to assess candidate quality and shape strong slates before client presentation.
  • Preferred: experience building new recruiting best practices and sourcing channels.
  • Preferred: experience with applicant marketing and candidate attraction strategy.
