Description

  • Own day-to-day progression of a 50 to 100 matter caseload by tracking deadlines, next steps, and blockers.
  • Maintain a high-touch client experience by providing biweekly updates and responding to client communications within 24 hours.
  • Support attorneys by reviewing case facts, building action plans, and coordinating the new-client call within 24 hours of assignment.
  • Monitor medical treatment progress by managing referrals, authorizations, appointment logistics, transportation, and interpretation needs.
  • Review wages and track income benefits, including TTD, TPD, and PPD, to help ensure accurate and complete payment.
  • Request and follow up on WC-102-related documents, including medical records, physician panels, and wage information.
  • Coordinate time-sensitive litigation events such as depositions, mediations, IMEs, hearings, and related notices.
  • Communicate with adjusters and opposing counsel to move authorizations forward and keep cases progressing.
  • Draft and organize case documents such as notices, stipulations, cover letters, settlement or demand materials, and correspondence.
  • Keep Filevine updated with accurate notes, documents, contacts, and case phases to maintain real-time team visibility.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience supporting workers’ compensation matters in litigation and/or non-litigation.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload while staying organized and responsive.
  • Strong client communication skills and the ability to explain timelines, next steps, and expectations clearly.
  • Working knowledge of workers’ compensation case management, including medical treatment flow and income benefits.
  • Experience preparing and coordinating depositions, mediations, hearings, and client scheduling logistics.
  • High attention to detail in documenting case activity and maintaining clean, accurate files.
  • Comfort working in a case management system, with Filevine strongly preferred.
  • Filevine proficiency is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Experience drafting and filing Workers’ Compensation Board forms, motions, and discovery materials with attorney oversight is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ICMS workflows, including initiating claims and submitting withdrawal notices, is preferred.
  • Experience tracking liens, loans, provider balances, and case-related expenses is preferred.
