Description

  • Own critical subsystems and features from discovery and design through development, rollout, monitoring, and impact measurement.
  • Lead technical initiatives across architecture, implementation, rollout strategy, and post-release improvements.
  • Identify and resolve scalability, reliability, performance, usability, technical debt, and operational issues.
  • Design and operate distributed systems using queues, workers, schedulers, retries, caching, and third-party APIs.
  • Build data pipelines for large-scale social data ingestion, enrichment, analytics, and insights.
  • Develop scalable image and video upload, transformation, optimization, storage, and delivery systems.
  • Ship backend APIs and customer-facing frontend experiences with strong usability, performance, and accessibility.
  • Build production AI capabilities using LLMs, embeddings, RAG, tool calling, and image/video generation.
  • Promote automated testing, observability, incident response, documentation, code reviews, and maintainable architecture.
  • Mentor engineers and guide technical decisions through design reviews, prototypes, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building and operating production systems, preferably SaaS products at scale.
  • Experience independently owning complex or business-critical features from design through production.
  • Strong experience with distributed systems, message queues, background workers, schedulers, retries, idempotency, caching, and high-volume APIs.
  • Extensive experience handling third-party API rate limits, authentication, tokens, webhooks, retries, version changes, and partial failures.
  • Strong system design, architectural trade-off evaluation, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong TypeScript and Node.js experience; NestJS experience preferred.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular, plus UI/UX fundamentals.
  • Experience with MongoDB, Redis, and data-intensive applications.
  • Experience with large-scale ingestion, ETL/ELT, analytics, or data warehousing technologies such as ClickHouse, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Elasticsearch.
  • Experience building production AI software using LLMs, embeddings, RAG, image/video generation, tool calling, or agentic workflows.
  • Strong testing discipline, including Test-Driven Development, clean code, observability, evaluation, guardrails, and failure handling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
  • Experience with social media products, social platform APIs, event-driven architectures, media processing, GCP, or SaaS/MarTech environments preferred.
