  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle marketing strategy and roadmap across email, SMS, loyalty, subscriptions, and post-purchase engagement.
  • Translate revenue, acquisition, and retention goals into lifecycle OKRs and quarterly execution plans.
  • Manage the Email/SMS Marketing Manager and oversee campaign and flow execution in Klaviyo.
  • Set segmentation strategy and lifecycle programs for onboarding, retention, replenishment, win-back, and re-engagement.
  • Develop retention and subscription optimization strategies to reduce churn, improve repeat purchase behavior, and drive renewals and upsells.
  • Optimize the subscription journey across Shopify Plus and Recharge to reduce friction and improve trial-to-repeat conversion.
  • Build, launch, and continuously optimize a loyalty and rewards program integrated with Shopify Plus, Recharge, reviews, and lifecycle communications.
  • Design and execute review acquisition programs through email and SMS, including automated requests, timing optimization, and A/B testing.
  • Lead incrementality-focused experiments, cohort analysis, and lifecycle reporting to measure revenue lift and inform decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, ecommerce, analytics, product, supply chain, CX, and Shopify development teams.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience in lifecycle, retention, or CRM marketing at DTC consumer brands in health, wellness, beauty, or consumables.
  • 3-5 years of experience at Director level or above.
  • Proven success building and scaling subscription retention programs that materially improved LTV and reduced churn.
  • Hands-on experience with Klaviyo, Recharge, and Shopify Plus.
  • Experience evaluating, selecting, and launching a loyalty and rewards platform such as Okendo, Yotpo, Smile.io, or comparable tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on use of Power BI, BigQuery, and Funnel.io.
  • Comfort interpreting MTA and MMM outputs from tools such as Northbeam or comparable platforms.
  • Experience designing and running incrementality-focused experiments, including holdouts, cohorts, and controlled rollouts.
  • Direct management experience leading at least one execution-focused individual contributor in email/SMS, lifecycle, or CRM marketing.
  • Strong understanding of email and SMS compliance requirements, including FTC, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and GDPR.
  • Experience in a subscription-first business model where retention drives the majority of revenue.
  • Remote-first mindset with ability to lead a distributed team effectively; located within driving distance of Los Angeles, CA preferred.
