Description

  • Own the architecture, design, development, deployment, and operation of microservices under a full DevOps model.
  • Build event-driven systems using messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, or AWS SNS.
  • Expose backend functionality through clean REST and gRPC interfaces.
  • Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automated deployment pipelines.
  • Maintain strong testing practices from unit tests through end-to-end coverage.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional agile teams with product leads, frontend engineers, designers, and data teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members through code and architecture reviews.
  • Leverage modern AI tools and workflows such as Claude and Cursor as part of engineering delivery.
  • Contribute to technical decision-making across assigned product domains that may change with business priorities.

Requirements

  • Senior-level expertise in at least one core language: Go or a JVM language such as Java or Kotlin.
  • High proficiency in one primary stack and willingness to expand technical knowledge into Go.
  • Experience building, deploying, and operating critical backend services in a production environment.
  • Comfort working with distributed systems, messaging queues, containerization, and modern deployment infrastructure.
  • Practical experience applying design methodologies such as TDD, BDD, or DDD.
  • Ability to make sensible technical trade-offs in complex engineering environments.
  • Strong communication skills for working in an international, multi-disciplinary technical environment.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, REST, or gRPC is implied by the role's technical scope.
  • Nice to have: experience across multiple product domains, such as deliveries, customer lifecycle, personalization, forecasting, or supply chain systems.
