Description

  • Train, deploy, and supervise near-peer mentors delivering HealthCorps programming.
  • Recruit, onboard, and oversee 15+ near-peer mentors supporting in-school program delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, districts, universities, alumni, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with local universities, schools, and district staff to deliver health and wellness programming across school sites.
  • Oversee Teens Make Health Happen Clubs, wellness campaigns, community events, and health fairs.
  • Assess community health inequities and track program progress through reporting and measurement.
  • Manage health education program activities and events throughout the school year.
  • Support promotion of HealthCorps initiatives through social media and events.
  • Create monthly and bi-annual reports for site partners and funders.
  • Travel locally to schools, universities, and community sites as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant program management experience or 5–7 years in health and wellness, education, or service-based programs.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising teens, university students, or staff.
  • Experience with recruitment and training.
  • Experience working in an education system.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Established professional network in Atlantic City related to health, wellness, or education.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and social media platforms.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing school-based programming and working with administrators.
  • Ability to self-start, stay organized, and problem-solve in a resource-limited environment.
  • Experience managing a program budget.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50 miles across the greater Charleston, West Virginia area.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Available for annual staff training and company retreat travel 1–2 times per year.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
