Description

  • Own the broker and consultant distribution sales strategy and revenue targets across non-owned channels.
  • Transition the sales organization from reactive account management to a proactive hunter/farmer model.
  • Recruit, onboard, and scale new broker and FMO relationships to expand the distribution footprint.
  • Drive new business development with independent agents, general agents, and field marketing organizations.
  • Represent Pivot Health at industry events, carrier partner meetings, and broker/consultant forums.
  • Lead and develop the Account Management team to grow and retain broker relationships.
  • Establish SLAs, performance metrics, and accountability frameworks for the account management team.
  • Partner with internal operations and member services to resolve broker escalations and improve the broker experience.
  • Hire, coach, and develop BDMs and Account Managers while setting roles, compensation structures, and performance expectations.
  • Contribute to the Growth Roadmap and quarterly operating plan, and provide pipeline, forecast, and performance reporting to leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive sales and account management experience in health insurance distribution.
  • Deep, established relationships with brokers, general agents, and/or consultants in the individual and small group health market.
  • Demonstrated success building and নেতৃত্বing sales teams in a growth-stage or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets in a quota-carrying or team leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of the U65 / non-ACA insurance market, distribution economics, and broker compensation structures.
  • Ability to operate independently in a less-built infrastructure and hit the ground running.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with Short-Term Medical (STM) products and distribution is a strong plus.
  • Background in ancillary health products such as dental, vision, accident, critical illness, or fixed indemnity is preferred.
  • Familiarity with FMO/IMO recruiting and management, and with managing or transitioning TPA/carrier partner relationships, is preferred.
