Description

  • Define and implement the directed materials sourcing strategy and a world-class supply network for Packaging & Paper.
  • Develop a materials roadmap that leverages scale, reduces supply risk, supports localization, and protects quality, safety, availability, and innovation.
  • Deliver 3%–5% year-over-year sourcing productivity while pursuing zero supply risk across directed materials initiatives.
  • Manage Hasbro’s approximately $150M spend on paper and packaging through strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Drive cost optimization through volume consolidation, low-cost country sourcing, should-cost analysis, direct purchasing, supplier segmentation, and value engineering.
  • Build alignment and buy-in from cross-functional stakeholders across Global Supply Chain, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Global Play Leaders, and Marketing.
  • Lead, inspire, and motivate a global cross-organizational team with a culture of trust, open communication, creative thinking, and teamwork.
  • Hold directed material suppliers accountable for operational performance and manage interfaces between Hasbro teams and suppliers when needed.
  • Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, including contracting, negotiations, productivity agendas, market intelligence, and business review meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with Hasbro policies, local regulations, and supplier sustainability and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of global procurement experience in resin, electronic components, or apparel, with relevant international exposure.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • Deep knowledge of the assigned materials industry from an engineering, procurement, and/or sales background.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive concrete actions and decisions.
  • Experience influencing senior leaders and external partners across manufacturing, supply, quality, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to deliver procurement goals in operational excellence, cost savings, and supplier performance improvement.
  • Consistent, hands-on, and pragmatic execution style with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese.
  • Willingness to travel 30% of the time.
  • Experience working across time zones and in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment (preferred).
