Description

  • Act as the primary technical lead on client data security engagements, overseeing design, delivery, and implementation of data protection solutions.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to assess current data protection posture and develop tailored data security strategies aligned to business, compliance, and transformation goals.
  • Design and document enterprise data security architectures across multi-cloud and hybrid environments, including discovery, classification, encryption, tokenization, and access control.
  • Lead assessments and integrations of data security platforms such as DLP, DSPM, CASB, and insider risk management tools.
  • Provide technical oversight for solution deployments, policy configurations, and integration of security tooling into existing client infrastructures.
  • Lead and mentor a team of consultants and engineers, including task assignment, deliverable review, and quality oversight.
  • Advise customer executives and technical teams on best practices, regulatory impacts, and emerging data protection technologies.
  • Research and recommend emerging tools, frameworks, and automation approaches to improve client data security maturity and consulting methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in information security, including 3+ years focused on data security or protection.
  • 3+ years of experience in a client-facing consulting or technical lead role.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing data security strategies in complex enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with data protection platforms such as Proofpoint, Netskope, Cyera, Cyberhaven, BigID, Symantec DLP, or Varonis is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of encryption, key management (KMS/HSM), tokenization, data masking, and structured and unstructured data protection.
  • Experience with security automation, APIs, and integration tools such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and NIST.
  • Exceptional client communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities in consulting or project delivery teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and translate business outcomes into technical execution plans.
  • Must be located in the Northeast region of the U.S. (NJ, CT, RI, MA, NY, VT, NH, or ME).
  • Up to 25% travel is expected within the Northeast region.
