Description

  • Act as the primary technical resource for the sales team during client calls, presentations, and solution demonstrations.
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions to assess customer business needs, current infrastructure, and technical requirements.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business-oriented language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design and architect customized internet and networking solutions that align with client objectives.
  • Develop technical proposals, solution diagrams, bills of material, and statements of work.
  • Collaborate with product development, network operations, and implementation teams to validate solution feasibility and supportability.
  • Lead technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and pilot projects to showcase solution capabilities.
  • Address technical questions, concerns, and objections from prospective clients.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the company’s internet and networking portfolio and stay current on market trends and competitor offerings.
  • Provide technical training and enablement to the sales team and support smooth handoff to post-sales implementation teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, network engineer, or similar pre-sales technical role in the commercial telecommunications industry.
  • Experience with internet access technologies such as Dedicated Internet Access, Fiber Broadband, Fixed Wireless, and Cable Internet.
  • Experience with networking technologies including SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, routing protocols, switching, firewall technologies, cloud connectivity, and wireless networking.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Preferred technical certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, Fortinet NSE, PCNSE, CompTIA Network+, MEF-CECP, AWS Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Advanced presentation, whiteboarding, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel 10% for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.

  • US base salary range of $139,200 to $203,300 plus bonus and benefits.
