Description

  • Support GitLab’s strategic large prospects and customers.
  • Provide account leadership and direction across the pre-sales and post-sales process.
  • Conduct prospecting and develop opportunities in large and strategic accounts.
  • Drive successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products through account management and coordination with pre- and post-sales and support teams.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by submitting product ideas to the public issue tracker.
  • Generate qualified leads and develop new customers with strategic channel partners.
  • Expand knowledge of the industry and the company’s competitive position.
  • Prepare activity and forecast reports.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis for wins and losses.
  • Communicate lessons learned to account managers, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Assist sales management in communicating customer needs to product managers and technical support staff.
  • Develop account plans, formal quotes, written sales proposals, and sales presentations tailored to customer business needs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Strong desire to ensure customers benefit from their investment.
  • Ability to provide a high degree of account management and control.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision on complex projects.
  • Experience selling into large organizations.
  • Ability to leverage established relationships and proven sales techniques.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Preferred experience with Git, software development tools, and application lifecycle management.
  • Alignment with GitLab’s values and ability to work in accordance with those values.
  • Ability to use GitLab.
  • Ability to travel if needed and comply with the company’s travel policy.
