Description

  • Lead a team of Account Executives across DACH and France to win new logos and drive first-order revenue.
  • Develop and execute a scalable new business sales strategy across installed base and whitespace accounts.
  • Drive pipeline generation and deal progression to support predictable new logo performance and shorter sales cycles.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales operations, and enablement to design and refine campaigns, motions, and processes.
  • Use Salesforce, Clari, Gong, and Outreach to inspect pipeline, forecast, and coach the team with data-driven insights.
  • Hire, onboard, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Partner with regional and global sales leadership to define and scale the new business sales function.
  • Represent GitLab with executive stakeholders and build long-term customer partnerships.

Requirements

  • Experience leading high-performing, distributed field sales teams in open source, DevOps, or SaaS environments.
  • Background building, coaching, and developing Account Executives to generate pipeline and close first-order deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute scalable sales strategies across large, mixed account bases in DACH and France.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Clari, Gong, and Outreach for forecasting, pipeline management, and operational discipline.
  • Skill in building relationships, negotiating, and structuring deals with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Awareness of regional nuances, cultures, and go-to-market dynamics across EMEA.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment, adapt to changing conditions, and balance strategy with hands-on deal support.
  • Open to diverse, transferable leadership and sales backgrounds with success in complex B2B environments.
