Description

  • Meet or exceed quota while building strong customer relationships.
  • Articulate GitLab’s value to commercial prospects and customers in the US Eastern region.
  • Own the book of business in your territory and act as the primary point of contact.
  • Document buying criteria, buying process, next steps, and owners for opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through consistent prospecting.
  • Prospect and close new business to expand territory coverage.
  • Drive customer adoption and work to minimize churn and contraction.
  • Collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams to support pre- and post-sales account leadership.
  • Create accurate quarterly forecasts against plan and budget.
  • Contribute to win/loss root cause analysis, share lessons learned, and help improve the sales handbook.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by contributing product ideas to GitLab’s public issue tracker.
  • Master MEDPICC and Command of the Message across opportunities.

Requirements

  • Must be located in an Eastern or Central time zone.
  • Progressive experience in SaaS sales, ideally pitching value to development teams.
  • Interest in GitLab and open source software.
  • Ability to leverage established relationships and proven sales techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated, driven, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Preferred experience with Git, software development tools, and application lifecycle management.
  • Ability to travel regularly to meet customers in person and comply with the company travel policy.
  • Alignment with GitLab’s values and willingness to work in accordance with them.

Benefits

  • United States base salary range of $79,900 to $141,000 USD.
  • Sales roles are eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of base salary.
