Description

  • Recruit, develop, and retain a three-tier Sales Engineering organization including regional managers and individual contributors.
  • Coach regional leaders on team building, performance management, capacity planning, and career development.
  • Design and implement scalable onboarding, skills development, and certification programs.
  • Provide strategic guidance on enterprise and complex deals, including direct support for key accounts when needed.
  • Set standards for discovery frameworks, technical qualification, demo excellence, POC methodology, and proposal quality.
  • Review critical pursuits and coaching opportunities with regional leads to ensure consistent national execution.
  • Partner with Sales leadership on territory design, coverage models, quota strategies, and SE-to-AE ratios.
  • Build and optimize operational processes for resource allocation, demo environment management, and technical asset development.
  • Own the demo system roadmap and prioritization in partnership with DemoOps and Product.
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and CRM hygiene standards to track performance, pipeline health, win rates, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Serve as the voice of the field to Product and collaborate with Marketing, Support, and executive stakeholders on roadmap, positioning, escalations, and strategic planning.

Requirements

  • 10-12+ years of experience in presales or sales engineering.
  • 4-6+ years of leadership experience managing managers and teams.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
  • Proven success scaling organizations and developing leadership talent.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve win rates and team performance.
  • Strong executive presence and influence across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Support.
  • Operational discipline with experience building processes, defining metrics, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience building diverse, inclusive teams and fostering remote-first collaboration.
