Description

  • Teach the 12-week program Sunday through Thursday from 9am to 5pm local time.
  • Support students outside class by preparing lessons, materials, and instructional content each week.
  • Work closely with co-instructors and teaching assistants to provide timely feedback on student progress.
  • Collaborate with GA staff and the instructional team to support different learning styles and student needs.
  • Guide students through the development of a final project that showcases their skills to hiring managers.
  • Facilitate a dynamic, collaborative, safe, and positive classroom community.
  • Inspire and support students as they work through the challenges of learning software development.
  • Adapt the global curriculum and build lesson plans as needed, contributing improvements back over time.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of experience working on a software development team.
  • Experience in both front-end and back-end development.
  • Fluency in HTML and CSS.
  • Strong full-stack JavaScript experience, with JavaScript highly preferred.
  • Experience with at least one JavaScript MV* framework, preferably Angular, Backbone, or React.
  • Experience with SQL databases, generally PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and Redis.
  • Experience with at least one additional object-oriented language, preferably Ruby or Python.
  • WDI/SEI alumni are a strong plus.
  • Ability and willingness to teach a 12-week program on a Sunday-Thursday, 9am-5pm schedule local time.

  • Remote positions can be performed from approved operating countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Singapore.
  • Anticipated compensation for the full duration of the course is $20,950- $24,174 GBP.
  • Compensation is determined based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
