Description

  • Ensure timely delivery of contract and project deliverables that meet quality standards and client requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans based on PWS, SOW, and WBS documents and communicate them to team members.
  • Build, communicate, and execute project schedules.
  • Monitor and communicate team member allocations and staffing needs.
  • Coordinate team needs such as laptops, systems access, and CAC setup to support successful delivery.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks and challenges for internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop project opportunities consistent with program goals.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog management, and assignment tracking for the project team.
  • Monitor engineering performance and coordinate with engineering managers and technical leads.
  • Communicate effectively with the Program Manager, engineering leads, and other internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working with the Department of War.
  • Ability to travel to the Pentagon weekly.
  • Experience managing multiple or complex projects simultaneously in GitLab, Jira, or similar tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing rising talent in a technology department.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, including experience establishing guidelines for others.
  • Strong personal accountability in decision-making.
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment and promoting teamwork.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to predict challenges and opportunities proactively.
  • Ability to leverage emerging technologies for productivity and efficiency.
