Description

  • Work primarily with on-premise infrastructure, including bare metal and VMs, for setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Own automation projects end-to-end from design and rollout through ongoing maintenance.
  • Drive clarity in ambiguous situations by defining requirements, assumptions, and next steps.
  • Improve system reliability, performance, and operational hygiene across the infrastructure.
  • Keep servers, web servers, databases, and queues stable, fast, and secure.
  • Investigate production incidents across OS, networking, and infrastructure layers, apply mitigations, and coordinate follow-up with developers.
  • Participate in post-mortems and contribute to incident response and service restoration.
  • Participate in on-call rotations.
  • Use AI as part of day-to-day work for research, troubleshooting, and development.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or in a closely related role.
  • Hands-on experience with servers, including VMs and bare metal, at the OS level and below.
  • Strong Linux skills on Ubuntu, including familiarity with core Linux troubleshooting tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking basics and ability to configure and troubleshoot iptables.
  • Experience with Ansible and Git.
  • Experience with Bash or Python scripting for automation or observability.
  • Production and on-call experience, including diagnosing incidents, restoring service, and participating in post-mortems.
  • Strong ownership and attention to detail.
  • Solid hands-on experience in two or more of the following areas: ClickHouse, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, HAProxy/Nginx, OS tuning, full disk encryption on LVM, or infrastructure security tools such as Teleport and HashiCorp Vault.
  • Preferred experience with VictoriaMetrics, complex CI/CD pipelines, bare-metal Kubernetes, Flux and GitOps, or Terraform.
