Description

  • Lead the data science team responsible for machine learning and advanced analytics in the adtech business.
  • Drive the transition from legacy models to deep learning architectures for propensity, lookalike, and real-time segmentation use cases.
  • Own value-based bidding and ROAS optimization models that predict user value and maximize client returns.
  • Explore and adopt agentic AI workflows to improve decisioning and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee production deep learning systems, including inference pipelines, embedding layers, feature stores, and low-latency serving infrastructure.
  • Establish MLOps practices for model versioning, drift detection, and experimentation.
  • Shift model optimization toward business outcomes using strategies such as multi-armed bandits.
  • Hire, mentor, manage performance, and develop members of the data science team.
  • Partner with Product, Client Success, and Data Platform teams to translate business needs into ML solutions and reliable data pipelines.
  • Communicate technical concepts, model capabilities, and business impact to stakeholders and executives.

Requirements

  • PhD preferred or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Science or ML Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing or leading technical teams.
  • Deep hands-on experience with modern ranking and retrieval architectures such as DLRM, DCNv2, and Two-Tower models.
  • Experience with multi-objective learning such as MMoE to optimize for clicks, conversions, and revenue.
  • Strong understanding of agentic AI and a willingness to define and own the roadmap for autonomous systems.
  • Experience deploying complex models in high-throughput, low-latency production environments.
  • Familiarity with ONNX, TensorRT, or feature stores.
  • Ability to connect model metrics such as AUC and LogLoss to business metrics such as GP and RPM.
  • Strong Python skills with PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost, and scikit-learn.
  • Proven people management skills, including hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing data science talent.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with business stakeholders and executives.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or Model Context Protocol (preferred).
  • Experience with ROAS optimization and campaign performance modeling (preferred).
  • Experience with Databricks and MLflow (preferred).
  • Experience with audience or customer modeling, including propensity, lookalike, segmentation, or recommender systems (preferred).
