Description

  • Respond to customer phone calls and emails promptly while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues and alarms within Flexential infrastructure.
  • Escalate issues to engineering staff and follow established procedures in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform physical security walkthroughs, badging, and escort visitors and third parties to approved work areas.
  • Track, document, and submit time spent on tasks, support cases, installations, outages, and remote hands work.
  • Complete cabling, hardware installation, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting in accordance with Flexential standards.
  • Use ServiceNow and other systems to process maintenance requests, hardware installs, and ticket updates.
  • Maintain data center cleanliness, organization, tool inventory, and shipping/receiving support.
  • Document shift activities, complete handoffs, and help maintain SLA compliance.
  • Participate in safety, emergency readiness, and operational walkthroughs while learning best practices from senior team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-4 years of experience in an IT or data center support environment.
  • 1 year of experience in an IT or data center support environment (preferred).
  • Understanding of Windows and Microsoft operating systems.
  • Previous NOC/SOC/IOC experience or data center experience (preferred).
  • Familiarity with DS1, DS3, Ethernet, and dark fiber circuits (preferred).
  • Experience with data center infrastructure such as generators, UPS, DC plant, HVAC, and fire suppression systems (preferred).
  • Ability to climb ladders, work aloft, pull and install cabling, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to work varied 24x7x365 shifts.
  • Ability to learn quickly, escalate appropriately, and respond to critical infrastructure emergencies.
