Description

  • Design, build, and operate scalable distributed systems and services that support Figma’s design and collaboration tools.
  • Develop and secure Figma’s internal and edge network running on AWS.
  • Design and deploy an internal service mesh network that can support Figma’s growing services and features.
  • Develop intelligent detection and auto-scaling countermeasures for DDoS threats.
  • Debug and resolve production issues across services and multiple layers of the stack to reduce incident resolution time.
  • Help shape the next generation of edge and network infrastructure for Figma’s V2 infrastructure initiative.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience building infrastructure components and services at scale in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with programming languages such as TypeScript or Go.
  • Experience building and scaling distributed and traffic systems as an individual contributor and/or team lead.
  • Proven track record of building, scaling, and shipping high-quality products in high-growth environments.
  • Experience communicating cross-functionally and working with teams handling network and traffic systems at scale for millions of customers.
  • Deep knowledge of DDoS attack mechanisms and mitigation solutions on AWS or other cloud environments is a plus.
  • Significant background securing network infrastructure is a plus.
  • Experience with traffic analytics using VPC Flow Logs, Lambda, and other data sources is a plus.
  • Experience with TCP, HTTP, DNS, and SSL protocols is a plus.
  • Experience with network proxies such as Envoy and HAProxy is a plus.
