Description

  • Develop new products and interfaces for the Public Warning Portal and related solutions.
  • Enhance existing products and consolidate the portal with other products in the portfolio.
  • Sustain and maintain existing software, including routine maintenance and defect resolution.
  • Test and document software changes and product behavior.
  • Work in a Scrum team using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Use platform technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes in development activities.
  • Assess new requirements and develop architecture models that address high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to break down epics and stories in Jira.
  • Work across teams and help guide adoption of best practices.
  • Communicate progress and key activities to the Engineering Manager, Product Owner, and other colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • 5+ years of frontend engineering experience with AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
  • Experience with microservices platforms and tools, including Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MariaDB.
  • Preferred experience with networking and communication protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and SSL.
  • Preferred experience working in Linux environments and with security practices.
  • Preferred experience with Kafka.
  • Preferred experience with Linux shell scripting and Python.
  • Preferred experience with deployment tooling such as Ansible and Helm.
