Description

  • Develop new products and user interfaces for the Public Warning Portal and related portals.
  • Enhance existing products and support consolidation across the company’s portal portfolio.
  • Own sustaining and maintenance work, including software deficiency resolution.
  • Test, debug, and document software changes and product improvements.
  • Develop within a Scrum team using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Use Docker, Kubernetes, and other modern platform technologies in development work.
  • Assess new requirements and develop candidate architecture models that account for high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to break down epics and stories in Jira.
  • Collaborate across teams and help guide adoption of best practices within the team.
  • Communicate solutions clearly to Engineering Management, Product Ownership, and other departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in backend engineering with Java and Spring Boot.
  • 5+ years of experience in frontend engineering with Angular(JS), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
  • Experience with microservices platforms and tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MariaDB.
  • Preferred experience with networking and communication protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and SSL.
  • Preferred experience working in Linux environments and with security.
  • Preferred experience with Kafka.
  • Preferred experience with Linux shell scripting and Python.
  • Preferred experience with deployment tooling such as Ansible and Helm.
