Description

  • Manage and execute European Commission-funded projects centered on Information Technologies and security/defense applications.
  • Prepare document deliverables and reports for R&D and business development initiatives.
  • Develop technical project documentation, including requirements, conceptual models, specifications, and technical architectures.
  • Define use cases and implementation and integration plans for project activities.
  • Lead the design and implementation of novel technical solutions for security and defense research and technology projects.
  • Support projects related to border security initiatives, including surveillance systems, biometric identification tools, and border control infrastructure.
  • Coordinate counterterrorism projects involving intelligence gathering, threat analysis, and response strategies.
  • Oversee emergency response and disaster management projects, including decision-making and crisis management systems.
  • Support military technology development projects from research through implementation.
  • Work collaboratively with diverse experts and stakeholders across European and national research frameworks.

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, preferably with an MSc or PhD.
  • At least 4 years of experience working directly with technical or IT teams.
  • At least 2 years of experience in national and European research programmes.
  • Experience with information and communication technologies, artificial intelligence, IoT, robotics, and related tools and technologies.
  • Proven experience in software design and development.
  • Experience in security and defense programmes, projects, and applications.
  • Excellent command of English and Greek, both written and oral.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
  • Experience designing Horizon Europe proposals or coordinating/implementing relevant projects is an asset.
  • Willingness to serve as an expert in Athens, Greece.
