Description

  • Lead software development delivery according to specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Own projects from design through launch, including development, code reviews, unit testing, integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Oversee code quality and enforce software development processes, coding standards, and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with Product Strategy, Architecture, Testing, IT, and Operations to align implementation and releases with business goals.
  • Facilitate design and architectural discussions to ensure scalable, compliant solutions.
  • Gather and clarify requirements with business stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing systems.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, coaching, and team growth support.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and internal point of contact for product development software and tooling.
  • Develop technical recommendations, documentation, and solutions to support long-term strategy.
  • Evaluate and promote emerging technologies for integration into products and development practices.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in software system design and development.
  • Strong technical experience with .NET technologies.
  • Strong experience with web technologies including React, JavaScript libraries, TypeScript, and CSS/SASS.
  • Extensive experience with unit testing and test-driven development.
  • Extensive experience debugging and profiling applications.
  • Experience with an enterprise-level ALM platform such as Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Solid experience with secure application development, including website and web service security.
  • Experience navigating software projects through the SDLC, including analysis, documentation, and software architecture design.
  • Experience with DevOps.
  • 3 years of experience in the life sciences industry, preferably IRT.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented development and design patterns.
  • Experience developing REST web services using C# and ASP.NET.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Entity Framework, and LINQ.
  • Experience with service bus technology such as RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS.
  • Experience with Redis or Azure Power Platform is a plus.
