Description

  • Design and implement product features end to end from concept through production.
  • Drive technical decisions and identify risks early as requirements change or remain incomplete.
  • Use AI development tools to accelerate coding, testing, research, and prototyping.
  • Partner with Product and the broader team to understand customer needs and deliver business impact.
  • Support other engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
  • Help establish practical engineering standards that balance quality with speed.
  • Improve architecture, tooling, testing, observability, and developer experience.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and help the team adopt useful tools and practices.
  • Assist with QA, production troubleshooting, and internal process improvements as needed.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Significant experience shipping and maintaining production software.
  • Experience owning meaningful features, systems, or technical initiatives end to end.
  • Experience in a startup, small-team, or entrepreneurial environment is strongly preferred.
  • Comfort solving ambiguous problems and creating clarity.
  • Strong focus on simplicity, maintainability, and thoughtful engineering.
  • Use of AI development tools as part of the daily workflow.
  • Clear communication and collaboration across engineering, product, and the business.
  • Ability to balance long-term technical health with short-term business needs.
  • Experience with the listed tech stack: React, Mantine/Tailwind, Java/Kotlin, and Postgres.
  • Availability to work fully remote within the United States, with overlap during standard business hours and primarily Pacific/Central Time teammates.
  • Direct reporting line to the CTO.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $160,000–$180,000 depending on experience.
