Description

  • Investigate and analyze motor vehicle accident accounts to identify and coordinate insurance benefits.
  • Conduct online medical research using EnableComp’s proprietary systems and external medical websites.
  • Request, acquire, and review medical records, provider notes, explanation of benefits, and other supporting documentation.
  • Manage the claim life cycle and communicate account information to patient counsel and insurance providers.
  • Follow up with payers to update claim status, confirm documentation receipt, and support prompt reimbursement.
  • Prepare and submit accurate MVA billing packets with required supporting documentation to insurance companies and patient attorneys.
  • Communicate with patient attorneys through multiple channels regarding claim status and expected resolution timelines.
  • Handle patient health information and maintain strict privacy, security, and confidentiality standards.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and escalate issues such as system errors, departmental questions, or HIPAA concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in the healthcare field working in billing or collections.
  • 2+ years of client-facing or customer service experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with MVA claim resolution preferred.
  • Experience with other complex claims is a plus.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and related data requirements for motor vehicle claims.
  • Intermediate understanding of MVA legal requirements.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet productivity targets and work independently without direct supervision.
  • Regular and predictable attendance required.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
