Description

  • Own a defined territory and build pipeline through proactive outbound outreach across email, phone, and social channels.
  • Qualify opportunities through deep discovery to assess pain, business impact, budget, and decision criteria.
  • Deliver tailored value narratives and live demos that connect Elastic’s search, observability, and security offerings to business outcomes.
  • Build mutual close plans with customers and maintain accurate CRM data and forecasting.
  • Lead pricing and contract negotiations to secure multi-year consumption commitments.
  • Position Elastic as the Search AI platform of choice by discussing cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Partner closely with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying experience closing complex enterprise SaaS deals in a consumption-based or usage-model environment.
  • Experience applying MEDDPICC or a similar qualification framework to manage pipeline discipline.
  • Proven ability to deliver executive-level presentations and product demos that tie features to financial or risk outcomes.
  • Track record of negotiating multi-year, high-ACV contracts while protecting margin and gaining executive buy-in.
  • Comfort discussing observability, security, vector and traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Collaborative, coachable, and effective at working across internal teams.
  • Genuine interest in open-source communities and the Elastic model; experience selling in an OSS context is a plus.
  • Prior experience at an open-source or developer-centric infrastructure company is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with observability use cases such as logs, metrics, and traces, or security analytics such as SIEM/XDR is preferred.

Benefits

  • Base salary plus variable compensation with a 50/50 pay mix and typical starting OTE of $226,500 to $358,300 USD.
  • Typical starting base salary range of $113,300 to $179,200 USD.
  • Typical starting target variable range of $113,200 to $179,100 USD.
  • Eligibility to participate in Elastic’s stock program.
  • Company-matched 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings.
