Description

  • Own a defined territory and build a proactive outbound pipeline to generate booked opportunities.
  • Conduct deep discovery and qualification to uncover customer pain, business impact, budget, and decision criteria.
  • Deliver tailored value narratives and live demos that connect Elastic’s platform capabilities to business outcomes.
  • Build formal close plans with customers and maintain accurate CRM records and forecast updates.
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations to secure multi-year consumption commitments.
  • Position Elastic as the Search AI platform of choice by explaining cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to advance deals and improve customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience closing complex enterprise SaaS deals in a quota-carrying role.
  • Proven success overachieving targets in a consumption-based or usage-model environment.
  • Experience using MEDDPICC or a similar qualification framework.
  • Track record of delivering executive presentations and demos tied to measurable business value.
  • History of negotiating and closing multi-year, high-ACV contracts while protecting margin.
  • Comfort discussing observability, security, vector and traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Collaborative, coachable mindset and ability to work effectively across internal teams.
  • Genuine interest in open-source communities and Elastic’s open-source model.
  • Bonus: Prior experience at an open-source or developer-centric infrastructure company.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with observability use cases such as logs, metrics, and traces, or security analytics use cases such as SIEM/XDR.

Benefits

  • Typical starting salary range of $113,300 to $179,200 USD.
  • Typical starting target variable range of $113,200 to $179,100 USD.
  • Typical starting on-target earnings (OTE) range of $226,500 to $358,300 USD.
  • 50/50 pay mix between base salary and target variable compensation.
  • Eligibility to participate in Elastic’s stock program.
  • Company-matched 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings.
