Description

  • Own a defined territory and build a proactive outbound pipeline to generate booked opportunities.
  • Conduct deep discovery and qualification to assess pain, business impact, budget, and decision criteria.
  • Deliver tailored value stories and live demos that connect Elastic’s platform to business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with customers to build close plans and maintain accurate CRM forecasting.
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations to close multi-year consumption commitments.
  • Position Elastic as the Search AI platform of choice through conversations about cloud economics and modern data architectures.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience closing complex enterprise SaaS deals in a quota-carrying role.
  • Proven success overachieving targets in a consumption-based or usage-model environment.
  • Experience applying MEDDPICC or an equivalent qualification framework.
  • Track record of delivering executive-level presentations and product demos.
  • Strong negotiation experience with multi-year, high-ACV contracts.
  • Comfort discussing observability, security, vector/traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Collaborative, coachable mindset and ability to work effectively across internal teams.
  • Genuine interest in open-source communities; experience selling or advocating in an OSS context is a plus.
  • Prior experience at an open-source or developer-centric infrastructure company is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with observability use cases such as logs, metrics, and traces, or security analytics such as SIEM/XDR is preferred.

  • Base salary plus variable compensation in a 50/50 OTE pay mix.
  • Typical starting salary range of $113,300-$179,200 USD.
  • Typical starting target variable range of $113,200-$179,100 USD.
  • Typical starting OTE range of $226,500-$358,300 USD.
