Description

  • Own a defined territory and build a proactive outbound pipeline across email, phone, and social channels.
  • Qualify opportunities through deep discovery using frameworks such as MEDDPICC to focus on high-confidence deals.
  • Deliver tailored value narratives and live demos that connect Elastic’s search, observability, and security offerings to business outcomes.
  • Build formal mutual close plans with customers and maintain accurate CRM forecasting.
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations and secure multi-year consumption commitments.
  • Position Elastic as the preferred Search AI platform by explaining cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Partner closely with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience closing complex enterprise SaaS deals in a quota-carrying role.
  • Consistent overachievement in a consumption-based or usage-model sales environment.
  • Experience applying MEDDPICC or an equivalent qualification framework.
  • Strong track record of executive-level presentations and product demos tied to business value.
  • History of negotiating multi-year, high-ACV contracts while protecting margin and securing stakeholder buy-in.
  • Comfort discussing observability, security, vector and traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Collaborative, coachable mindset with the ability to work effectively across internal teams.
  • Genuine interest in open-source communities; experience selling or advocating in an OSS context is a bonus.
  • Prior experience at an open-source or developer-centric infrastructure company is preferred.
  • Familiarity with observability use cases such as logs, metrics, and traces, or security analytics use cases such as SIEM/XDR is preferred.

Benefits

  • Typical starting base salary range of $123,900 to $196,000 CAD.
  • Typical starting target variable range of $123,800 to $195,900 CAD.
  • Typical starting on-target earnings (OTE) range of $247,700 to $391,800 CAD.
  • 50/50 pay mix between base salary and target variable compensation.
  • Eligibility to participate in Elastic’s stock program.
  • Company-matched RRSP with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings.

  • Flexible locations and schedules for many roles, plus a generous vacation allowance.
